What are Portable Apps?
The idea behind Portable Apps is simple. Portable Apps are simple applications that you can carry with you on removable media. We use a special packaging process to create an application that leaves behind no settings or files, but rather takes them all with you, keeping all your settings and data. This lets you use the programs you want at any computer with all the information you want to keep.
Do I need to know anything to use them?
No! The installation process is very easy, using a simple .zip file, and it is very easy to run the programs. All you need to do is double-click the program and you're up and running!
Are these free?
Yes, free as in money, and free as in freedom. You can download all these applications for free, and if you want, change and give them to everybody, as all of them are open source (most licensed under the GPL).
